I came across a program the other day that is really useful. The USB Duplicator Now is software that turns your computer into a USB copystation. And it’s real simple to use, too!

Why do you need a USB duplicator? You don’t, unless you need to duplicate files to many USB drives quickly. It’s easy to imagine a number of situations where this could be useful, for example in the classroom, at events and conferences, for guerilla marketing, distribution of digital media, and lots more! Or how about distributing recipes at a food or drinks event? Everyone interested can bring a USB stick (or buy one cheap), and get all the content they need rapidly duplicated onto the stick.

Most USB Duplicators on the market today are specialized hardware. That is great, and probably the fastest option. But it’s not portable at all, and it’s very expensive. Most solutions cost multiple thousands of dollars. For a few tens of ollars, USB duplicator software is a far better buy. And software is much easier to upgrade too.

The USB duplicator is also very easy to use. It auto-detects all connected memory sticks, and writes to them in parallel. All you have to do is select a source folder and click GO. This saves you a LOT of time compared to copying manually. The USB Duplicator Now also writes a log from the entire task, so you can easily find out if something went wrong during the duplication.

Happy USB Duplication!

It would be easier to avoid tooth pain if we knew of its root causes. Actually it would be a lot easier to evade teeth troubles if you have dental insurance coverage that provides low cost Preventive Dental Care treatment. You will be able to avoid not only the expensive dental treatments but the discomforts as well.

Minor tooth problems can be prevented from becoming unbearable tooth pain if it can have the preventive treatment it needs through dental insurance plans. Although some still remain skeptical about these benefits. Nonetheless, you may find the following dental tips useful to avoid the most dreaded of all pains. If you want to be extra careful though, you may consider dental insurance such as aetna dental insurance to really fill all ends in terms of dental care.

Dental Tips to Avoid the Dreaded Tooth Pain

1. Stay away from sugar-rich food because of their acid contents. Having too much of these acids increase the presence of cavity-causing plaques.

2. Don’t eat hard to break and too chewy foods. The difficulty in crunching and grinding this food speeds up the wear and tear capacity of your teeth. Also, food particles often get stuck in between teeth that cause eventual tooth decay.

3. Don’t eat food that is either too hot or too cold. Excessive heat or freezing cold can cause distressed nerve tissues in the teeth and gums. This can lead to sensitive teeth.

4. Avoid the detrimental effects of cigarettes, alcohol, acidic food and caffeine. These substances adversely affect our saliva due to over–acidity which can leave us dry-mouthed. Such condition will allow bacteria to set in.

5. Use dental floss as aid in cleaning your teeth. Teeth brushing alone cannot reach or dislodge trapped particles between teeth.

6. Take vitamin C rich foods or supplements to achieve optimum calcium absorption. Calcium is an essential nutrient for strong teeth.

7. Use toothpastes with fluorides because this ingredient provides additional surface protection for the teeth, hence, lessening one’s susceptibility to tooth erosion.

Oral Check-ups and Preventive Dental Care can provide you with more teeth protection. The advent of dental insurance plans has made them affordable through reduced dental fees arranged with their network dentists. Price reductions range from 80% to 100%. The prices of veneers are also quite high and veneers prices can be several thousand USD

These preventive treatments include regular teeth cleaning and x-ray examinations. Hence, if your minor teeth troubles are given attention at the early stages, then you can save yourself the trouble of paying for expensive dental treatments. More of than not, these teeth problems also come along with distressing tooth pain.

The number of craft breweries has exploded over the past 15-20 years. If you enjoy good food and good beer (they are very much related), you should consider getting into homebrewing, also known as craft brewing, yourself. You can do it at home and make excellent beer.

Good luck!

We read a page at this page about unusual gift ideas, and we have a suggestion for a great gift idea that is unusual, but for the right receiver it will be a great new hobby that will just keep on giving and giving.

Of course, if you read the title, you’ll know what we’re talking about! Homebrewing kits are a great gift – but again, for the right person. Don’t give one to your girlfriend and expect her to feed you with quality beer for all future! ;) But try one for your dad, or your buddy, if they a) enjoy beer, and b) like to make stuff and do stuff at home.

When considering what to buy, you have to consider the WAF – that is, the Wife Acceptance Factor! So depending on how much room one has, whether one has a wife or girlfriend, or similar considerations, you might want to buy a small, simple kit with included ingredients or a large grand flash kit that can be used for all grain brewing.

Again, back to the original page on gift ideas, we definitely think this should be included as a suggestion on the unusual gift ideas page!

Happy holidays! :-)

Interesting article in New Scientist about how a beer marinade can reduce the amount of carcinogens in the fried steaks. Apparently, wine also helps, but beer does a better job, and tasters preferred the smell, taste and appearance of beer-marinated steak.

Good reason to have some beer around the house, eh? :)

Hehe, we just had to drop a small note regarding this excellent post by ketil. I quote:

And if you don’t already brew beer at home – what’s wrong with you?? ;)

All we can do is concur! Nice one, dude!

Since we’re on the subject of beer (which we always are here ;) ), I’d like to give you a pointer to the Norwegian homebrewing association, Norbrygg. They have a really useful forum where seasoned experts offer opinions and tips on home brewing, there’s lots of recipes and tips and beer related information on the website. They also organize the Norwegian Homebrewing Championship and the Norwegian Christmas beer Championship. Of course, it’s a Norwegian site, so you’ll have to know Norwegian or use something like Google Translate to read it. If you’re interested, however, it’s worth a peek!

I came across these beer HD videos on Clipcanvas, a hd video stock footage site. They provide full HD video clip downloads in multiple formats, that you can sample for free! They even give away free videos which are updated every now and again. Check it out. They also won cool website of the day on 28 November 2009. Nice work.
